Brooklyn to New York it's a beautiful walk!

This is my Husband and me in 1977.We took a trip into Brooklyn to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. This was one of those days you just never forget.I think I was so amazed by the beautiful views from the bridge                                                                               Below is a picture of us this year.I wasn't sure if I'd make it all the way across because of a knee injury but I think I felt the same awe,I did in'77.     


I did make it across and even walked down to see how the Freedom Tower rebuilding was looking.great.If you ever get the chance it is a great  walk. Even for us New Yorkers-/Long Islanders that don't think of ourselves as "tourist",sometimes doing those sort of things renews your pride in NY.It was fun,and yep my husband still looks the same to me as he did-and like the song says 'he's still the one'....
