Whenever my girls leave the house, I try to remember to tell them " be safe", or "drive safe". I know they are good drivers but it's more to remind them I love them.
I think I said it to my daughter tonight but I don't remember.A few hours after she left she called and was in an accident. Not a little fender bender but one that totaled the car. She was not hurt but shook up. She was sitting at a light and got rear ended, he was going about 50 mph. She got pushed into the median which was a grassy ditch. As she is being interviewed by the police she hears a loud BAM! behind her ,you know it some rubber necking asshole hit the car a second time. She is a tough girl but she said it was really terrifying. I was worried the whole way out to pick her up ( about an hour away) that she could of been hurt and maybe in shock. Mothers think things like that. I felt sad she was by herself. Her friend that she was going to pick up,came to where she was , his dad drove him. they waited with her. We (my husband and I are going to see where they towed the the car tomorrow morning .) It was an old car but I loved it.
But I digress, Like I said ,my daughter was ok but I wasn't sure till I saw her. I know it could of been much worse.I will now add "I love you","be safe"! Even though I say "Love you" often ,somehow not being sure tonight made me feel awful. LOVE you girls! Be always safe! Thank you God for keeping them safe!
