WOW! Sometimes it's the only word to describe a situation-WOW!. Like the time I was at the beach and there was a man with a hairy buttox on the board walk and I wouldn't of known that but my daughter who was about ten at the time said " do we have to walk behind this guy?"

That's when I noticed he was wearing a red thong and had bugs bunny tatooed on his cheek.... his rather large hairy cheek..that was a " wow! "-but not the good wow, not the"I got the raise "wow"". It was the can you believe it?
Kind of a low, slow , sarcastic sounding "wow" I can't believe he thinks that looks good -wow.

As long as it's not over used like the word " awesome" is wow is the kind of word that can be used in conveying a few feelings.

Wow! I found a twenty in the dryer! "WoW I didn't know that she was sick" Wow , I can't believe my brother has been dead for almost 10 years. "
